Ripple Africa’s fish conservation project
A message from Ripple Africa’s founder Geoff Furber:
"Our Fish for Tomorrow conservation project is as vital as the tree project. Lake Malawi covers 20% of Malawi and is instrumental to the country’s nutrition. In recent years it has been massively overfished –with mosquito nets being used to catch juvenile fish before they are old enough to breed.
We’re working with fishing villages to adopt simple bylaws whilst empowering them to enforce them. This will secure fish stocks for generations to come and we are already seeing incredible results.
Would you or your company like to join the Ripple Africa family and be instrumental in saving the fish in Lake Malawi? If you would like to support us please contact me.
Thank you, Geoff"
