Planting Fruit Trees campaign update: April to June 2023
Visiting farmers who have previously planted trees
- It is always great to visit farmers who have previously planted trees to see the growth and how they are caring for them. The team use this monitoring as an opportunity to train and encourage farmers to coppice branches and tidy up the land to avoid fire risks.
- Elliott Honde has grown 4,000 trees of which some are three years old and others are five years old. He knows the value of growing trees. He said, "I have six children and want to provide a future for them and for my wife."
