Planting Fruit Trees campaign update: January to March 2019
Case study: meet Wilson Chaponda
- Wilson is the Secretary of a community tree planting group which has 14 members
- He is incredibly proud of the trees that he has grown and he sings to them each day to help them grow more quickly. We told him that Prince Charles does the same thing to the trees in his garden in the UK and he told us that everyone knows that trees like to hear music!
- He is looking forward to the trees getting big enough to provide more shade and eventually an income for him and his family. He is getting younger members of the community to learn about the importance of tree planting and to expand the club
