Planting Fruit Trees campaign update: January to March 2024
A successful planting out season
Over a million trees were planted out this January.
Several farmers in Mzinba South have planted Pine trees to provide a sustainable source of timber and firewood:
- Mzondi is 23 years old and a father of one He has planted 1 200 trees and is very motivated to provide a future for his family
- Penjani planted 3 200 trees with the help of his five children
- Macloud is from Chiwale Village and is 56 Also a father of five, he is enjoying his first year and planted 2 500 trees
- Finally Tally, also from Chiwale Village, has planted an impressive 7 000 trees
