Case study: Moses Banda’s trees for the future
- Moses Banda is a farmer in Malawi and a member of the Chiguza club (a Ripple Africa community tree nursery)
- Two and a half years ago Fruitful Office customers helped him to plant 1,000 pine trees. These trees are growing well and are now over 2 metres tall. In another 12 years or so they will be ready to be harvested for timber – providing the farmer with a healthy income for his family and descendants
- Despite the long time horizon Moses is excited about future prospects, and has decided to plant another 2,000 trees this year from the community nursery
