Expanding the tree project north
- The recent planting season (typically July to December) has been very challenging for tree planting in the lowland areas near the lakeshore because of the shortage of rain and many sources of water dried out and individuals and clubs could not water their trees

Our new area, north of Mzuzu which is at a higher altitude and is very deforested has been far more successful with nearly 350,000 trees currently being planted out

One individual farmer Alexander Muhango has raised over 10,000 trees in his nursery
